Collecting Recipes

Here’s an idea I find works very well for collecting all the wonderful recipe shares that my friends have posted on Facebook.

Copy the recipe you find, and then open a new document in Google Drive.

Paste your recipe, and tweak with notes or reformat them as you wish.

Put your recipes into folders within Google Drive.

I have one big ‘recipes’ folder that I move all of my recipes to, but you could easily make other folders and categorize them in any way you choose.

The main reason I do this is to have quick and easy access from my laptop or iPad to this tasty info, but since the recipes are on Google Drive, you can also easily share them via email or links with family and friends.

DIY Recipes Book

If I want to have a hard copy of my Google Drive recipes for myself or to give as a gift, I print and laminate the recipes using a Scotch Thermal Laminator 2 Roller System (TL901) with Scotch Thermal Pouches 8.9 x 11.4 Inches, 100-Pack (TP3854-100).

The lamination helps because if you accidentally spill on a recipe, you can simply wipe it off versus having to print a new one.

Once I have the recipes laminated I get a 3-ring hole punch and a 3-ring binder.

I select the recipes for my collection and then enjoy my custom, homemade recipes book.
